With any profession, the first day can make you feel like a deer in the headlights. You don’t know the environment, and everything is unfamiliar. You are trying to navigate a world unknown to you while these fast moving lights are coming directly towards. This is for any first year teacher or aspiring teacher. This post is for the ones who want to feel as if they are not in the unknown. These are the lessons from my first year teaching. 15-minute rice cooker spaghetti
Tell me if this scene sounds familiar. You come back home from a long day at work. Get in comfortable clothes. Try to get 30 minutes of rest before you have to start making dinner. You slave away for what feels like an eternity. You eat for 5 seconds. Wash dishes. Now, it’s time to go to bed.
Don’t you wish that there was a quick and easy way to make dinner that you had more time? Yet again, we have more food made in a rice cooker. Easy to make. Easy to clean. Super fast. It normally takes at least 15 minutes for the water to boil, so this is a great hack.

Hello to my teacher note-takers!
Are you a teacher looking for some way to combat the age old problem of keeping absent students updated on missed work? This past year, I was student teaching for my master’s degree. The summer before, I was thinking of various ways to be more efficient. One idea that I had was to make a website. It is becoming more common for teachers to have their own web pages, but they are often updated or used. I used wordpress to make my own website for my classroom which worked really well.
