With any profession, the first day can make you feel like a deer in the headlights. You don’t know the environment, and everything is unfamiliar. You are trying to navigate a world unknown to you while these fast moving lights are coming directly towards. This is for any first year teacher or aspiring teacher. 10 minute cake

Imagine this situation. You have guests coming over soon for a small get together, but something is missing. You forgot to make dessert. What’s even worse is that you have also ran out of eggs. You do not want to run to the store as you do not have that much time. Worry not though, you remembered that you read this blog post on notes by alex which prepared you for this very situation.

This cake recipe is so quick and easy that you can make it before they arrive. It takes a mere 6 minutes for this cake to bake. What is even greater is that there are no eggs, so whether you are out of eggs or have someone who cannot eat foods with eggs, this recipe is perfect for you. Oh, did I forget to mention that there is no preheating the oven? This cake is made in the microwave! It’s so easy you can get your young kids to help you with the recipe. Well enough talking about how cool it is! Let’s get to the recipe so that you can make it now. (I never understood those blogs where you had to skip 7+ paragraphs that people never read in order to get to the recipe.)

Burgers: they taste amazing, but they require so much attention. Afterwards, there is a lot of clean up. When you have a burger craving and don’t want to go out to buy a burger, what do you do? I have discovered a new recipe yet again. Easy to make, Easy to clean, Easy to eat one dozen by yourself. I’m talking about burgers… in a rice cooker.

15-minute rice cooker spaghetti

Tell me if this scene sounds familiar. You come back home from a long day at work. Get in comfortable clothes. Try to get 30 minutes of rest before you have to start making dinner. You slave away for what feels like an eternity. You eat for 5 seconds. Wash dishes. Now, it’s time to go to bed.

Don’t you wish that there was a quick and easy way to make dinner that you had more time? Yet again, we have more food made in a rice cooker. Easy to make. Easy to clean. Super fast. It normally takes at least 15 minutes for the water to boil, so this is a great hack.

New month, new challenge!

Be an encourager. The world has enough critics already.

The thankfulness challenge for May was really impactful. To recall things and people to be thankful for is a really amazing experience. We are now in June, and that means that we may as well start a new challenge. We are not going to just be thankful for people this month, but we are going to tell them what they mean to us.
