cookie cutter pancakes

Note takers, how do you like you pancakes?

Someone who eats pancakes and jam can’t be too awfully bad. You can talk to him.

On today’s post, we are going to talk about the way to make the best breakfast ever even better.

This method brings about the fluffiest pancakes in the perfect size. Cookies cutters are not just for cookies anymore, they can also be used to make the perfect pancakes.

You will need:

  • Your favorite pancake mix
  • Butter
  • Bowl
  • Cookie Cutter
  • Spatula
  • Tongs
  • Pot Top
  • Griddle (or whatever you use to make pancakes)

Firstly, you will make the batter. Being the unhealthy food lover that I am, I add 2 tbsps of butter to store-bought mix, but this method also works well with batter made from scratch.

Then, you prepare your griddle and cookie cutter. Turn the griddle to a medium low-heat (on my oven which has a scale from 1-10, I set it as a 4). I butter the griddle and the cookie cutter to prevent any sticking and add some extra flavor. Each time that I finish a pancake, I put more butter on both the cookie cutter and the griddle.

Now, it’s time to start some pancakes. Put the cookie cutter on the griddle, and fill the cookie cutter about halfway full. Then, place the pot top on top of the cookie cutter. Keep an eye on it. It will begin to grow. This is normal to get these perfectly fluffy pancakes.

When you see bubbles popping and staying open, it is time to flip. This is the hard part. Here, you will use your spatula to go under the pancake, and the tongs to help you turn over the cookie cutter. Do the flip with both to try to keep all of the batter in the cookie cutter as you flip it. Do not hesitate, just go for it. This is probably the hardest part of the process. But do not fret, even if they do not flip perfectly, they will still taste heavenly.

I put the pot top back over it, but in reality, I needs very little time when it is on the other side. Keep an eye on it, and do not let it burn. When all of that if over, you will have the fluffy pillows of heaven. Perfect to serve the next time you are serving brunch.

Look how fluffy and sweet it looks. The taste is even better than you can imagine.
