Rice is really great if you’re hungry and want to eat two thousand of something.

Hello again, note takers!
Moving into an apartment of my own, I knew that I wanted a gadget or two in my kitchen. Well, I have this deep and strange love for white rice, and therefore, I bought a rice cooker from Wal-Mart. As far as rice cookers go, it was not too expensive. I definitely use it way more than it is worth.
At first, all I did was make rice with it. You know because it’s a RICE cooker. But as time went on, I realized how versatile it was. I have used it to make a giant pancake, slow cooked marinated chicken, and chicken dumplings. I hope to share some of the recipes that I make with the rice cooker with you at some point on this blog.
My recommendation to everyone is to buy a quality rice cooker. I use it religiously. It is so versatile because you can do so much with it. Even though the slow cooker button sits right on the front of my rice cooker, I completely forgot it could do that until a few weeks ago. Since then, I have been slow cooking everything that I can think of. My next kitchen purchase was going to be a slow cooker until I found this out.
While I am typing this post, I am using my rice cooker to slow cook food. It takes a lot of hard work out of cooking. It’s good for large groups of people as well as households of one. Plus it is easy to clean.
I have been beyond pleased with my rice cooker. It is something that is so versatile in my kitchen. I use it to make so much. It steams food as well as cooks it. It can do both at the same time. I have made rice with broccoli in my rice cooker at one time before. If you do not already own a rice cooker, I suggest that you get one soon.
